Intense Shelling Along the Southern Lebanon Border with Heavy Involvement of Israeli Aircraft

Despite the temporary ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the exchange of prisoners between Israel and Hamas, intense shelling continued along the southern border on Wednesday. Specifically, the outskirts of the towns of Aitaroun and Yaroun have been subjected to artillery shelling since 5:30 PM, originating from Israeli army positions within Palestinian territory. Reports indicate that "6 shells were launched from the Hanita site towards the main road in the town of Naqoura, and ambulances were seen rushing to the location." Additionally, the Israeli shelling targeted a motorcycle on the road from Naqoura towards Alama, which was carrying two young men. Around 4:15 PM, an Israeli drone targeted an open area between the towns of Yahr al-Shuqif and Deir Siryin with a missile. The region of Labouna is experiencing airstrikes and artillery fire at the same time.

Israeli warplanes conducted an airstrike on the forests of "Labouna," south of the town of Naqoura in Lebanon. On the other hand, "Hezbollah" announced that it "targeted the Baghdad site and surrounding military positions with appropriate weapons and confirmed casualties." The "Islamic Resistance" also stated that "in support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in solidarity with their brave and honorable resistance, the mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance targeted an Israeli force positioned in the Hanita forest at 03:50 PM on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, with appropriate weapons and confirmed casualties." They also reported that they "targeted at 03:15 PM a gathering of Israeli enemy soldiers at the Malakiyeh site with appropriate weapons, achieving direct hits."
