A Saudi real estate developer announced a partnership agreement with the Trump Organization to build a towering structure in the coastal city of Jeddah, in the latest project managed by former U.S. President Donald Trump's company in the Gulf region. Dar Global, the international arm of Saudi real estate development company Dar Al Arkan, stated that the Trump Tower project in Jeddah aims to "attract international investors to the Kingdom" and highlight the "Saudi luxury market."
After arriving at the White House in 2017, Trump entrusted the management of his vast real estate empire to his sons, while retaining his shares in it. The statement from Dar Global quoted Trump's son and executive vice president of the Trump Organization, Eric Trump, as saying: "We are pleased to expand our operations in the Middle East and provide the global luxury standards that the Trump Organization is known for, in collaboration with Dar Global." He added, "This partnership embodies our shared vision to develop exceptional projects, adhering to the highest levels of luxury, quality, and sophistication. Together with Dar Global, we aim to meet the growing demand for luxury properties in key markets in the region, such as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."
