Palestinian Presidency: "Hamas" Provides Justifications for Israel!

Palestinian Presidency:

The Palestinian presidency launched an attack on the "Hamas" movement today, Saturday, accusing it of "providing free justifications" for Israel to continue its violent war on the Gaza Strip. The presidency stated in a statement: "In response to the horrific massacre committed by the Israeli occupation state in the Khan Younis area of Gaza, which claimed the lives of hundreds of our people, including children, women, and men, the Palestinian presidency condemns this massacre and holds the Israeli government fully responsible for it, as well as the U.S. administration that provides all forms of support to the occupation and its crimes."

It described the attack as "a link in a series of daily massacres committed in the Gaza Strip as well as in the West Bank, which represent complete war crimes and crimes against humanity and genocide in violation of international law and international humanitarian law." The statement continued: "Despite our awareness that the occupying state does not need justifications to commit its crimes against our people, it simultaneously benefits from any justification it finds to rationalize its war crimes and acts of genocide under the pretext of defending itself. This makes any entity that provides such justifications a partner in bearing the responsibility for the tragedies and calamities inflicted upon our people by the occupation forces."

It added: "The presidency considers Hamas, by evading national unity and providing free justifications to the occupying state, as a partner in bearing the legal, moral, and political responsibility for the continuation of the Israeli genocide war in the Gaza Strip, together with all the suffering, destruction, and killing it causes to our people."

The Palestinian presidency called on Hamas to "prioritize the higher national interests and to remove the justifications from the hands of the occupier in order to stop this ongoing massacre against our people." It also urged the international community to "take practical action to impose a ceasefire in Gaza and save innocent civilians from the scourge of this Israeli aggression."
