Yair Netanyahu, the son of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, shared a post on his Instagram page describing three senior security leaders in the country as "deadly failures." The post included a video showing images of Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces Herzi Halevi, Head of the Israel Security Agency Ronen Bar, and Head of Military Intelligence Aharon Haleva. The video was accompanied by the phrase: "Three deadly failures are appointments by one man."
It then transitioned to another clip featuring the leader of the National Unity Party, Benny Gantz, who recently resigned from the war cabinet, along with the phrase "King of Ideas." The three mentioned individuals were appointed during the government of Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid, at which time Gantz held the position of Minister of Defense. According to the Times of Israel, "the idea" refers to officials accused of negligence, which led to Hamas's attack on October 7. The term also indicates that "Hamas preferred calm on the Gaza border and receiving funding from the international community rather than engaging in a full-scale war with Israel." Many opponents have accused the current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of being the "father of the idea."
