The Palestinian factions and the popular committee in Nahr al-Bared camp issued a statement announcing their follow-up on maintenance work to supply the camp with electricity. They stated: "Our people in Nahr al-Bared camp, due to ongoing malfunctions in the main cable extending from the Deir Ammar station to Nahr al-Bared camp following the recent malfunction that is being repaired, the popular committee is monitoring maintenance work with the company to provide the camp with electricity as soon as possible. Accordingly, the popular committee has sent several previous messages to the joint action authority, the Department of Refugee Affairs, and the Lebanese Electricity Company, urging them to expedite the restoration of the previously existing overhead power line, which used to supply the camp with electricity after the ground line malfunctioned and went out of service, and the messages have been redirected to the authorities again." They continued: "We call on the authorities to expedite the resolution of the high-voltage line issue as soon as possible, knowing that the camp has not been receiving electricity for 15 days due to the malfunction in the main cable, and the residents of Nahr al-Bared camp pay their electricity bills at a rate exceeding 90 percent. A new transformer has been reinstalled at the healing station after it malfunctioned previously."
