The head of the Lebanese Forces party, Samir Geagea, affirmed that "today we are engaged in a fateful confrontation against the project of the Resistance Axis that dominates the state." During a meeting with a delegation from the diaspora, Geagea noted that "this axis's Lebanon does not resemble the Lebanon we want, which is a strong republic enjoying a real state, with its sovereignty preserved and its decisions in its own hands. Therefore, there is no room for ambiguity in this confrontation, as no one can stand idly by when their future and that of their children are at risk."
Geagea reiterated the necessity of avoiding generalizations and the ambiguity of responsibility, urging the need to "put our finger on the wound and identify the individuals responsible for Lebanon's collapse by name, particularly regarding the presidential elections."
He considered that the confrontation is long, and the resilience of the people is central and essential in it, calling on the diaspora "to help secure the components of resilience by supporting as many Lebanese as possible."
He concluded: "We will continue in the peaceful democratic political confrontation and in the struggle until we bring the suitable president to Baabda, and thus the birth of the Lebanon we dream of, as it is no longer permissible to round corners or compromise amidst these deteriorating conditions."
