Morocco Shines and Advances to the Semi-Finals of the Paris Olympics

The Moroccan national team succeeded today, Friday, in reaching the semi-finals of the men's football competition at the Paris Olympics after a clear victory over the United States with a score of 4-0. The Atlas Lions displayed an impressive performance throughout both halves of the match and managed to impose their style of play on the American team.

Sofiane Rahimi scored the first goal of the match in the 29th minute from a penalty kick, marking his fifth goal in the Olympics, a record for Arab and African players. He also became the first player in Olympic history to score in four consecutive matches. In the 63rd minute, Elias Akhomach added the second goal for the Lions by skillfully converting a precise cross from the left side into the net.

Paris Saint-Germain's Achraf Hakimi launched a counter-attack from the right side in the 70th minute, effortlessly placing the ball with his left foot into the American net, announcing the third goal for his team. In the 90th minute, Mehdi Maouhoub scored the fourth goal from another penalty kick, concluding the match with a 4-0 Moroccan victory that secured their first-ever place in the Olympic semi-finals.
