"You Look Like My Lesbian Grandmother": British Police Arrest Autistic Teenager

British police violently arrested a 16-year-old girl with autism for "hate speech against homosexuals" after she told an officer, "You look like my grandmother, who is a lesbian." Footage posted online shows the girl being detained by seven police officers at her home in Leeds, West Yorkshire, around 1 AM on Monday. Reports indicate that the police had brought the teenager home after her family informed them that she was "drunk in the city center."

The incident was recorded by the girl's mother, who uploaded the footage to TikTok, stating: "This is what police do when dealing with children with autism. My daughter told me that the police officer resembled her grandmother, who is a lesbian. The officer misunderstood the comment and said it was an anti-gay remark. Then the officer entered my home. My daughter was having panic attacks from being touched."

The video shows two officers in the family’s hallway while the girl sits in a corner by a cabinet. A female officer with short blonde hair can be heard saying, "She will be arrested," to which the mother responds, "She made the comment in her home; she didn’t say anything to you," asserting that her daughter has autism, only for the officer to reply, "I don't care. The girl made anti-gay statements to my colleague."
