Riyadh is preparing, for the first time in its history, to host the International Forum for Sport and Peace, organized by the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee in cooperation with the Sport and Peace Organization. The event will take place from October 18-19 at the Cultural Palace in the Diplomatic Quarter.
The forum, titled "Sport is the Key to Peace," aims to enhance the role of sport as a channel for disseminating positive values, attitudes, and behaviors that contribute to establishing global peace values, given the power and influence of sport as a global communication tool and a language spoken by all.
The forum, organized in collaboration with the Diplomatic Quarter office at the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, will feature several sessions discussing major sports events, women's sports empowerment, Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 from a sports perspective, and the Quality of Life program. It will also include various panel discussions with a selection of world-renowned athletes, business leaders, scientific figures, representatives of non-profit organizations from various countries, as well as sports companies and agencies affiliated with the United Nations.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, expressed gratitude to the leadership for its generous and unlimited support for the sports sector in the Kingdom, which has contributed to making Saudi Arabia the top destination for hosting major global sporting events.
Prince Abdulaziz welcomed all participants from various countries to the International Forum for Sport and Peace in their second home, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, wishing that the forum would yield results that enhance the role of sport in global peace.
