Katz: Evacuate Jenin Camp Residents and Treat Them Like Gaza Residents

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz called on Sunday to evacuate the residents of the Jenin camp in the West Bank and treat them like residents of Gaza. The West Bank, which has been occupied by Israel since 1967, has seen an escalation of violence for over a year, but the situation has deteriorated since the outbreak of war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Israel claims that repeated incursions into Jenin and some West Bank camps aim to "eliminate armed terrorist cells that threaten its security." The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that 8 Palestinians were killed on Tuesday by Israeli forces during an incursion in the West Bank, while more than 10 others were injured. The Israeli army stated that on Tuesday, Air Force jets targeted "armed terrorist cells" in two separate airstrikes during a military operation by security forces in the Jenin area.
