Title: Security Forces: Arrest of Armed Robbery Gang and Theft of Cash

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued a statement today, Monday, stating: "On 09-08-2023, in the Adma area, three masked and unknown individuals entered the villa of citizen W.H. (born in 1963) carrying a military pistol and a knife. His wife, their ten-month-old grandson, and two domestic workers were present in the house. They attacked one of the workers, stabbing her in the abdomen, causing serious injuries. They locked the two workers in the bathroom, threatened his wife with kidnapping their grandson, pointed the gun at her, and forced her to open the safe in the house, stealing cash amounts of $14,000, €1,500, and 40,000,000 L.L., along with jewelry and watches valued at around $90,000, a recording device, and a mobile phone, then fled to an unknown location.

Immediately, orders were given to the operational units of the Internal Security Forces to undertake field and investigative procedures to identify those involved in the armed robbery, arrest them, and recover the stolen goods. As a result of the follow-up, the Information Branch was able to identify the perpetrators, who were: F.A.M. (born in 1978, Syrian), M.Z. (born in 1982, Syrian), and M.G. (born in 1969, Lebanese). It was also revealed that the mentioned gang had executed a burglary on 04-08-2023 in the Ashrafieh area, where they targeted a citizen's house and stole gold jewelry, valuables, and property deeds, estimated at around $300,000.

After a precise monitoring operation, the Special Forces of the Information Branch managed to conduct a coordinated operation resulting in the arrest of the first suspect in the Jnah area and the second and third suspects in the Douha al-Hosn area. A black "Kia Rio" car and a gray and blue motorcycle were seized. Upon searching them, the second suspect was found with a quantity of drugs. Searching the first suspect's home led to the seizure of gloves, a mask, industrial tools, and vehicle plates.

During the investigation, they confessed to the charges against them regarding the armed robbery in Adma, the stabbing of the worker, threatening the homeowner with kidnapping her grandson, forcing her to open the safe, and stealing its contents of cash and jewelry. They also stated that they had carried out a robbery inside an apartment in Ashrafieh, stealing a quantity of jewelry. Furthermore, they admitted to preparing for an armed robbery in a villa in the Sahel Alma area.

A large portion of the stolen goods was recovered and returned to the owner. Legal measures were taken against them, and they were deposited with the seized items in the competent authority by court order."

A dangerous gang executed armed robberies and thefts of cash and jewelry in the Adma and Ashrafieh areas, and the Information Branch arrested its members in a simultaneous operation, recovering a significant portion of the stolen items. #ISF #SecurityIsTrust
