Israel: More than 1,000 People Captured in Gaza

Israeli army Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi reported today, Sunday, that Israeli forces have captured over a thousand individuals during the war against Hamas in Gaza. Halevi addressed soldiers inside the bombarded sector, stating, "When fighters throw down their weapons and raise their hands, we detain them and do not fire at them." In a video distributed by the military, he noted, "We have obtained a lot of intelligence information from the captives; we already have more than a thousand."

The Israeli army also announced today that it found signs written in Hebrew saying "Save Our Lives" and "Help, three hostages" on the walls of a building in Gaza where three Israeli hostages were hiding and were accidentally killed.
