The draw for the 35th Arab Clubs Basketball Championship, hosted by Qatar from November 1 to 12, will take place on September 26 on the website of the Arab Basketball Federation. The tournament will feature 18 teams: Qatar, Al Ahli from Qatar, the defending champion Al Kuwait, Al Qadsia from Kuwait, Al Ittihad Alexandria, the record-holder for titles, Al Ahli, the runner-up from last year's tournament from Egypt, Selah and Maghreb Tangier from Morocco, Beirut, the bronze medal winner, Dynamo from Lebanon, Al Wahda of Sana'a, Al Ittihad from Libya, Al-Brij Services from Palestine, Al Seba from Oman, Al Muharraq from Bahrain, the Algerian Sports Union, Al Fateh from Saudi Arabia, and Al Jazeera from Iraq.
Meanwhile, Beirut will participate in an international tournament in Doha from September 25 to 30 in preparation for the Arab Championship. The team has strengthened its roster with Lebanese international players Sergio Darwish and Ali Mazhar, who participated in the last World Cup, along with captain Ali Haidar, Naeem Rabai, and a selection of Lebanese players, in addition to three professionals: Tunisian Faris Shay, Jordanian naturalized player Tucker, who has played for the Jordanian national team in recent years, and American Tony Mitchell.
