Russia Halts Ukrainian Drone Attack

The Governor of the Russian Rostov Region, Vasily Golubev, announced on Thursday that Russian air defense forces thwarted a Ukrainian attack involving five drones in the western part of the region. Golubev confirmed in a statement posted on the Telegram app that the drone attack targeting western Rostov did not result in any injuries or damage to facilities, according to preliminary data. He added that the air defense forces successfully intercepted the drones, indicating that the situation is under control without any losses.

In another development, the Governor of the Russian Bryansk Region, Alexander Bogomaz, stated that Russian forces thwarted an attempt by a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group to infiltrate the region. Bogomaz wrote on Telegram: "On August 21, an attempt by a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group to breach Russian territory in the Klimovsky district of Bryansk was thwarted." He explained that "during the confrontation, the Russian Federal Security Service in Bryansk and units of the Russian Armed Forces prevented the infiltration and delivered fire strikes against the enemy."
