Boeing has suspended test flights of its new wide-body aircraft, the 777X, after a malfunction was observed in a component connecting the engine to the aircraft's body, raising new concerns for the American aircraft manufacturer following several issues with its planes. The company stated, "During maintenance, we identified that a component did not perform as expected," confirming information reported by the specialized site "The Air Current." The company added that the Boeing team is currently assessing this component "and (these planes) will resume test flights when they are ready." The part that will be replaced, according to Boeing, is related to the 777-9 model and connects the engine to the aircraft's structure. The company explained that the three other 777-9 aircraft used for testing have been inspected since the incident.
