An altercation occurred between two traveling families at Rafic Hariri International Airport, prompting internal security forces to intervene and take legal action against those involved.
The internal security forces clarified in a statement that "various social media outlets circulated multiple videos about a conflict at Beirut International Airport. After investigation, it was found that the incident took place around 4:20 PM on 18/8/2024, between two traveling families (from the Q and G families) after they passed through the security checkpoint, regarding the right of way. Security forces intervened and resolved the conflict between them, and neither party wished to file charges against the other. Reports were filed against the fighters by the administrative and judicial authorities before they continued their travel."
