On Monday morning, Hezbollah announced that it had carried out an aerial attack using drones on the command of the 91st Brigade at the "Eilite" barracks in northern Israel. Hezbollah stated in a communiqué: "The resistance fighters launched an aerial attack with a swarm of attack drones targeting the command center of the recently established 91st Brigade at the Eilite barracks, aiming at the positions and quarters of its officers and soldiers, successfully hitting them directly and causing a number of fatalities and injuries among them."
The Israeli army confirmed in a statement that "as a result of the drone attack on Eilite Hashachar, an officer and a soldier were injured and have been taken to the hospital." It clarified that "several suspicious aerial targets crossing from Lebanon were identified, and interceptor missiles were launched towards them." Furthermore, it noted that "Israeli firefighting services are currently working to extinguish a fire that broke out in the area due to the attack."
Israeli army radio reported on Monday morning that sirens were activated out of fear of drone incursions into Kiryat Shmona and several other towns in northern Israel. The Israeli army indicated that "siren alerts were sounded in the Eilite Hashachar area in northern Israel."
