Ahmed Hossam "Mido," former star of Egypt's national team, has revealed a shocking update regarding the potential transfer of his compatriot Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool winger, to one of the clubs in the Saudi Pro League. Mohamed Salah, 31, is contracted with Liverpool until the summer of 2025, with British reports suggesting that the "Reds" are eager to retain their Egyptian star for two more seasons.
However, Mido took to his personal account on X (formerly Twitter) stating, "Mohamed Salah in the Saudi League next season... contracts have been signed."
Salah's name was previously linked with a move to Al Ittihad during the last summer transfer window, where the club made several lucrative offers, the last being £217 million, but Liverpool rejected it. Additionally, Al Hilal was also associated with a potential transfer for the Egyptian "Pharaoh" on multiple occasions, especially following the injury of Brazilian Neymar da Silva to a torn cruciate ligament.
