Government Media: 800,000 Citizens Still in Gaza City and North

The number of Palestinian casualties due to the aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to over 15,000 martyrs, following the recovery of dozens from under the rubble or their burial after being evacuated from the streets, according to the Government Media Office. The office stated in a release that "the number of martyrs as of this evening exceeds (15,000), including more than (6,150) children and over (4,000) women, with dozens of martyrs recovered from under the rubble or buried after being evacuated from the streets, or who died as a result of their injuries."

It added that "around (7,000) individuals are still missing, either under the rubble or their fate remains unknown, including more than (4,700) children and women. The number of medical personnel martyred has reached (207) doctors, nurses, and paramedics, while (26) members of the Civil Defense teams were killed, and (70) journalists were martyred in an attempt to erase the truth and assassinate the Palestinian narrative, according to the statement.

The report continued: "The number of injuries has exceeded 36,000, with more than 75% being children and women. The number of destroyed government facilities reached (103), along with (266) schools, of which (67) are no longer operational. The number of mosques completely destroyed is (88), while (174) mosques were partially destroyed, in addition to the targeting of (3) churches. The total number of housing units completely demolished is nearly 50,000, in addition to (240,000) housing units that suffered partial destruction. Estimates indicate that over 60% of housing units in the Gaza Strip have been affected by the aggression, either being completely demolished or rendered uninhabitable, or partially destroyed.

Due to the aggression, more than 26 hospitals and 55 health centers have ceased operations, and 56 ambulances were targeted, while dozens of ambulances have become inoperative due to fuel shortages. The Government Media called, amid the humanitarian ceasefire extended for an additional two days, for the immediate restoration of all hospitals destroyed by the occupation, and the necessary rehabilitation of these facilities to fulfill their duty to the 2.4 million people in the Gaza Strip."

The Government Media also urged "the entry of the necessary equipment and machines for Civil Defense teams so they can retrieve the bodies of hundreds of martyrs that are still under the rubble. It was noted that "around 800,000 citizens are still in Gaza and North Gaza provinces, living a harsh life unlike any they have previously known, and in addition to the provinces of the Gaza Strip, they are suffering particularly from severe shortages of water, food, medicine, and essential living supplies, especially in light of the complete absence of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and the destruction of hospitals and health services by the occupation."
