Arrest of Drug Trafficker with 13 Legal Pursuits

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division, announced today, Monday, that "as part of the ongoing efforts by the Internal Security Forces to pursue individuals involved in drug trafficking and distribution across various regions of Lebanon, information was received by the Central Anti-Narcotics Office of the Judicial Police about one of the wanted individuals with more than 13 legal pursuits for drug trafficking crimes, named B.H. (born in 1962, Lebanese), who was moving between the Bekaa and Mount Lebanon using different vehicles.

Consequently, a special team was assigned to take field action to locate and arrest him. A unit from this team set up a tight ambush in the Sarba-Jounieh area, which led to his arrest in the act while he was transporting a quantity of cocaine. They also found a sum of money and mobile phones in his possession. It became evident that he was using an identity belonging to another person during his movements. The arrested individual, along with the confiscated items, was handed over to the Central Anti-Narcotics Office for further investigation and to initiate the necessary legal procedures against him, based on the instructions of the competent judicial authority."
