The Israeli bombardment of homes in various areas of the Gaza Strip continued from Saturday night into Sunday, resulting in numerous casualties and injuries. The Ministry of Interior, led by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), reported on Sunday that seven Palestinians were killed and several others were injured in an Israeli airstrike on a house east of Rafah in southern Gaza. Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced the "detonation of explosives in a gathering of dozens of Israeli soldiers east of Juhur al-Dik, resulting in a significant number of their casualties."
Additionally, authorities in Gaza reported on Saturday evening that the Israeli army shelled more than 50 residential buildings and homes in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood in eastern Gaza City, along with other areas of the strip. They stated that Israel utilized dozens of rockets and large bombs in the bombardment, "which threatens the lives of hundreds."
Al-Qassam Brigades declared late Saturday into Sunday that they had shelled Tel Aviv "with a rocket barrage" in response to the "massacres" committed by Israel against civilians in the Gaza Strip. This shelling caused sirens to go off in the center of the city. Al-Qassam added that their fighters targeted an Israeli ground force inside a building in an ambush in the al-Tawam area northwest of Gaza and attacked them with anti-personnel explosives, anti-fortification shells, and heavy machine guns, "resulting in casualties among the force."
In their statement, they indicated that they targeted an Israeli command and reconnaissance room inside a building east of Beit Hanoun with four shells. They also reported destroying Israeli military equipment and targeting gatherings of Israeli forces in Gaza.
For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, stated on Saturday that they were engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli forces in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood and in areas northwest and south of Gaza. They explained on Telegram that they shelled Sderot and Ra'im with rockets. They also confirmed that their fighters managed to destroy Israeli military equipment and targeted Israeli cities, sites, military bases, and towns with intense rocket barrages.
