Israeli Army Orders Evacuation in Deir al-Balah

The Israeli army called on residents in areas of Deir al-Balah to evacuate today, Wednesday, as the death toll from the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip rose to 40,223 since October 7. The Israeli army stated that "all residents and displaced persons in blocks 129, 130 in the Al-Mahatta neighborhoods and southern Deir al-Balah, from Salah al-Din Street to the street marked on the map" should evacuate immediately to the west. It added that it "will act forcefully against terrorist organizations in that area," indicating that the mentioned areas "are considered dangerous combat zones." Following the new Israeli evacuation orders, a statement was issued by the Government Media Office in Gaza, which stated, "The Israeli army is deliberately suffocating 1.7 million Palestinian civilians and squeezing them into a confined space that does not exceed one-tenth of the area of the Gaza Strip."
