Exclusion of German Player Two Days Before Euro

The German Football Association officially announced today, Wednesday, that one of its players will miss Euro 2024 due to illness. The association released an official statement confirming the exclusion of Alexander Pavlovich, a Bayern Munich player, due to his recurring tonsillitis. Coach Julian Nagelsmann decided to call up Emre Can, captain of Borussia Dortmund, to replace Pavlovich, just two days before the tournament begins.

Germany will participate in Euro 2024, which will be held on their home soil, in Group A alongside Scotland, Hungary, and Switzerland. The tournament is set to kick off this Friday.
