Solving the Mystery of the Murder of the Egyptian Groom 25 Days After His Wedding

Security forces in Qalyubia, Egypt, have arrested the suspects in the murder of young man Mohamed Ahmed, known as "Moza" and referred to as the "Groom of Khanka." A report was filed regarding the incident, and the appropriate authorities have initiated an investigation, ordering the detention of the suspects for four days pending further inquiries.

The tragedy began in the village of Arab Al-Ayayda, under the jurisdiction of the Khanka police station, where a person was killed by three suspects due to a dispute stemming from the harassment of two girls by the suspects. As a result, they ambushed the victim while he was distributing flour and shot him multiple times in the head, leading to his death.

The suspects decided to murder the young man just 25 days after his marriage, executing him merely because he belonged to a family that had ongoing disputes with the suspects due to an altercation related to the harassment of a girl.

This incident occurred on the first day Mohamed Ahmed, also known as "Moza," was set to resume his normal life after a 25-day honeymoon trip with his bride. Upon returning to work, he was unexpectedly ambushed by the suspects, who fired three shots at him, two hitting his vehicle and the last striking his head, resulting in his death.

The feud between the victim's family and the suspects' family originated from the harassment of a girl. Both parties had sought the intervention of the victim's maternal uncle to resolve the disagreement, but the meeting ended without a resolution. The suspects then plotted to take revenge on the victim's family by choosing to kill one of its young members who was uninvolved in the altercation.

Investigations revealed that the young man was shot multiple times in the head, leading to his death at the hands of the three suspects following a dispute stemming from the harassment of two girls by one of the suspects. The girls informed their relatives, leading them to seek revenge by killing the victim, who was a cousin of the harasser. Eyewitnesses confirmed that the victim had a good reputation and was not the intended target.

Relatives and neighbors of the victim stressed that he was known for his good character and was loved by everyone. His wife had informed him of her pregnancy just one hour before the crime. The local community expressed deep sorrow over the loss of the "Groom of Khanka," particularly since he was unaware of the dispute and had no involvement in it, leaving his mother and wife bereft without reason, while calling for justice against the suspects.
