Maronite Patriarch Beshara Boutros Al-Rahi stated, "We pray for justice regarding the investigation into the Beirut port explosion on its fourth anniversary." He added during Sunday’s sermon in Diman: "We renew our condemnation of this explosion, express our heartfelt condolences to the victims' families, and offer our prayers for the healing of the injured. We demand that political and partisan interventions be removed from the judiciary and call for an international investigation, given that the local investigation is stalled."
Furthermore, he expressed disappointment at the recent secondary school certification exams, which revealed corruption, and noted the reluctance of universities worldwide to accept our students.
On another note, Al-Rahi mentioned, "We celebrate a mass of thanksgiving for the beatified Patriarch Dweihi, who is a symbol of hope in times of trial." He regarded “Patriarch Estephan Dweihi as a beacon of knowledge and holiness for us; he is one of the greatest patriarchs, and there will never be another like him.”
