Lebanon... Arrest of 4 Individuals for Various Crimes

The Lebanese Army Command - Directorate of Guidance reported that "on 18/8/2024, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate arrested a citizen (M.D.) in the Badaro area for drug trafficking, seizing a large quantity of drugs in his possession. A unit of the army also arrested (K.H.) at the entrance of the Palestinian Nahr al-Bared camp for possessing a quantity of hashish and Captagon pills. Additionally, a unit of the army, supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, raided the house of wanted citizens (T.H.) and (A.H.) in the town of Taria - Bekaa, and arrested them for committing the crimes of kidnapping and murder, seizing a quantity of weapons, ammunition, and military gear from their possession. The unit also destroyed an area of 3,000 m2 planted with marijuana belonging to the first arrested individual. The seized items were handed over, and an investigation into the detainees commenced under the supervision of the competent judiciary."
