Russia Announces the Downing of 11 Ukrainian Drones

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Tuesday, that Russian air defense systems destroyed 11 Ukrainian drones over the Republic of Crimea and the Belgorod and Bryansk regions during the night. The ministry stated: "During the night, when the Kyiv regime attempted to carry out terrorist attacks using drones on Russian territory, the deployed air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 4 drones over Bryansk region, 4 drones over Belgorod region, and 3 drones over the territory of Crimea."

On Monday, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Russian forces had liberated the towns of Novobokrovskoe and Stepovaya Novosilovka in the area of the special military operation. The Russian defense ministry added in its daily statement: "Units of the Russian 'North' group defeated personnel and equipment of the 41st and 57th mechanized infantry brigades of the Ukrainian armed forces, the 34th naval infantry brigade, the 113th and 125th defense brigades, and the 13th national guard brigade in the areas of Volchansk, Tikhoy, Jobtovka, Niskotchnoye, Jovatnevoy, and Lepitsyi in Kharkov region."

On Monday, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported that 9 civilians had been injured due to Ukrainian shelling in the region. He added that there were 7 injured among the civilians, including a child, according to initial information. He also mentioned that 22 houses were damaged due to the shelling. The governor also reported the Ukrainian forces shelling the city of Shebekino using drones, resulting in two people being injured.

Additionally, the governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, reported on Monday that "fragments of targets intercepted during the attack on Sevastopol fell in the coastal area and in Balaklava, and information about the damage is being clarified." As a result of monitoring by Russian air defense systems, 4 aerial targets were downed in the Balaklava region.

In this context, Russia's permanent representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, stated that the possibility of Israel supplying Kyiv with "Patriot" air defense systems could have political consequences. Nebenzya said at a press conference in response to a question about how this development might affect relations between Israel and Russia: "Whoever supplies weapons to Ukraine will ultimately see them destroyed, just like Western and American weapons. This is clear. But I believe this could certainly carry certain political consequences."
