The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants condemned, in a statement, the "strongly condemn the invasion of extremist ministers in the Israeli government of the Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards, which coincided with their statements rejecting the call from Washington, Cairo, and Doha in their joint statement to resume negotiations." It pointed out that "these practices, in addition to the Israeli authorities' demolition of neighborhoods and their eviction of residents in East Jerusalem, come within the context of systemic Israeli provocations that are rejected and violate international law and international legitimacy." It stated: "The recent decisions and actions of the Israeli government that entrench the expansion of new settlements and legitimize them on the territories of the West Bank represent a blatant violation of international law and international legitimacy. They also undermine serious efforts to achieve a ceasefire and demonstrate the current Israeli government's intention to escalate and expand the scope of the war." The Ministry called "in light of these ongoing violations, on the international community and concerned countries to act immediately and decisively to stop the aggression on Gaza, as a first step towards calming, stopping the escalation, and preventing the further deterioration of the crisis and the conflict in the region."
