As Slovakia prepares for a crucial Round of 16 match against England in the 2024 European Championship, a former Miss Slovakia is also gearing up for the biggest match of her career. Simona Liskovska, the former Miss Slovakia, has captured attention by being with her national team at the continental tournament taking place in Germany. The former model works at the media center of the Slovak Football Association, conducting interviews with players and producing media content.
The beauty queen began her journey with the Slovakia U21 team and revealed that she went through "many tough times" before reaching the senior national team. In an interview published by the British newspaper "Daily Mail," she said, "I worked with the Slovak Football Association for three years, starting with the U21 team, and in September I moved to the senior team."
She added: "Some people told me that a woman working in modeling wouldn’t succeed in football, but several years have passed since then, and those who laughed at me now want to take photos with me." She revealed, "I have gone through many difficult times to get to where I am now, and there are still many goals I want to achieve. I have learned a lot about football, even though people thought I wasn’t good enough."
Simona Liskovska started her media career in 2015, initially covering hockey news before shifting to football, and she is now with her national team in the Round of 16 of the European Championship.
