The Emirate of Sharjah hosts many tourist destinations that offer Ramadan events and activities, highlighting the cultural and tourism diversity that is evident in every corner of its historically rich museums, vibrant markets, and natural attractions across its geographical area, providing visitors with unique experiences that resonate with the atmosphere of the holy month. While the voices rise from three thousand minarets in the emirate, Sharjah welcomes its visitors and residents this year during the holy month with new destinations and renewed events that reflect the continuous development and inexhaustible creativity in the emirate's tourism scene, characterized by its coastal, mountainous, and urban destinations alongside numerous heritage and historical landmarks and cultural and entertainment centers.

"Shis Rest Area" shines as one of the prominent new destinations in the United Arab Emirates, located in the eastern region of Sharjah, between the Khorfakkan mountains with views overlooking its valleys. The rest area, which opened its doors to visitors on October 1, 2023, has become a comprehensive center that combines shopping and entertainment, with shops that include more than 58 outlets, making shopping during the holy month a special tourism and entertainment experience. It also provides a shaded children’s play area, ensuring a safe and enjoyable space for the little ones. Visitors to the city of Kalba cannot help but be amazed by the exceptional view of Kalba's hanging gardens, which are situated in the coastal city’s mountains over an area exceeding 1.6 million square feet, rising 281 meters above sea level and housing over 100,000 trees, creating a picturesque scene of green Sharjah and offering visitors an experience amidst the mountain nature, including a main restaurant that welcomes guests with a stunning view of the surrounding gardens and waterfall.

The "Hanging Gardens" offer trails for climbing the mountain among agricultural terraces, dense trees, and colorful flowers, as well as a 24,000-square-foot ice skating area featuring three levels catering to children, beginners, and professionals. The upper region's restaurant overlooking this beauty from a height of 270 meters completes the panoramic scene that transports visitors to another world.

During the holy month, the Al Jubail Market in Al Dhaid showcases the aesthetics of the emirate's authentic architecture enhanced with modern touches, having opened in October 2023 over an area of 78,000 square meters, providing both traditional and modern shopping experiences through its four main sections that include meats, vegetables, fruits, and fish. The Al Jubail Market in Kalba spans 33,000 square meters and features 16 shops for meat and poultry, 22 for fish, and 31 for vegetables and fruits. The Al Jubail Markets in Al Dhaid and Kalba are distinguished by their elegant Eastern design and artistic decorations that embody the cultural spirit of the region, making them unique destinations to visit during the holy month.

During the blessed month of Ramadan, Sharjah's tourism, cultural, and sports activities multiply, including the Sharjah Ramadan Indoor Football Championship 2024, which adds a competitive spirit among 10 teams vying for the grand prize, as well as trophies, gold and silver medals, and daily gifts for the stars of the tournament and the audience. At the same time, the Sharjah Ramadan Festival 2024 continues to enrich the visitors' experience with a mix of shopping and entertainment until April 13, including cultural arts that accompany shopping experiences in various cities and regions of Sharjah.

At the House of Wisdom, where culture and knowledge come to life, the outdoor areas pulse with energy as the event "Ramadan Events at the House of Wisdom" launches its new season, welcoming visitors throughout the holy month for book and art lovers in a Ramadan atmosphere where everyone can find something, either on the shelves of the modern library or in the accompanying market corners, making "Ramadan Events" more than just a recreational journey or a shopping experience.

In Khorfakkan, the "Dakkakin" Festival 2024 welcomes its visitors for the second year in a row until April 14, where the Khorfakkan amphitheater transforms into a Ramadan market hosting 34 stores showcasing the creativity of productive families, entrepreneurs, and local traders. From clothing and jewelry to children's toys, "Dakkakin" offers a unique shopping experience, and the festival includes popular restaurants and cafes serving delicious dishes, welcoming families, residents, and tourists from across the country.
