Britain Summons Israeli Ambassador Following Death of Relief Workers in Gaza

The British government summoned the Israeli ambassador on Tuesday after Israeli forces mistakenly killed aid workers in Gaza. British Minister for Development and Africa Andrew Mitchell stated, "The government condemns the horrific killing of seven aid workers from the Central Kitchen Organization, including three British citizens." Minister Mitchell added, "I have requested that Israel conduct a swift and transparent investigation, in collaboration with the international community, which will result in full accountability." Earlier, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that the United States urged Israel to conduct a prompt, thorough, and independent investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
