Saudi Roshan League: Exciting Numbers Illuminate Round 30

The 30th round of the Saudi Roshan Professional League concluded with matches held over Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. This round featured many exciting events and numbers, making it one of the best phases of the current season of the competition.

#### Goals and Cards

Nine matches were played during round 30, with a total of 27 goals scored. The match between Al-Nassr and Al-Wahda saw the highest tally of goals with a 6-0 victory for "The Global." A total of 30 yellow cards were issued, along with three red cards for Farouk Shafi of "Damak," Khaled Ibrahim of "Al-Riyadh," and Mamadou Loum of "Al-Raed."

#### Firmino Shines

Brazilian Roberto Firmino, captain of Al-Ahli Jeddah, led his team to a 4-1 victory against Damak, scoring one goal and assisting another. Firmino ended a 68-day goal drought with Al-Ahli, and this was his second consecutive match in which he successfully assisted in the Professional League. The 32-year-old Brazilian has now contributed to 14 goals in 29 matches this season (7 scored and 7 assisted).

#### Al-Hilal Approaches the Title

Al-Hilal achieved another victory in the Saudi league, overcoming Al-Taawoun with a score of 3-0, marking their tenth consecutive away win this season, a record for the club in the history of the league. Al-Hilal's points tally rose to 83 at the top of the table, just 4 points away from officially clinching the title. Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrović scored with a header to end a 34-day goal drought. Additionally, he has become the player with the most headed goals this season with a total of 7.

Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou matched the legendary record of his club icon Mohammed Al-Deayea by keeping his clean sheet in 15 matches in a single season. The veteran keeper is now just four matches away from equalling the historical record held by Brazilian Marcelo Grohe (2022-2023).

#### Disappointing Fall

Ittihad Jeddah continued its catastrophic performances with another loss this season, falling to Abha with a score of 1-3, remaining at 50 points in fifth place. This was Abha's first win against Ittihad since January 2021, when they defeated the "Giant" 1-0. This marked the tenth defeat for Ittihad this season, alongside 5 draws and 15 victories.

#### Ronaldo Makes History

Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Al-Nassr, continued to write history by scoring his 66th career hat-trick, the second against Al-Wahda. Ronaldo (32 goals) has become the second player in the history of the Professional League to score 30 or more goals in a single season, following Moroccan Abderrazak Hamdallah (34) in the 2018-2019 season. With this brace, Ronaldo extended his lead in the league's top scorers' chart over Mitrović, who trails by a full 9 goals. Ronaldo has now reached goal number 890 in his club and national team career and is just 10 goals shy of hitting 900. Al-Wahda has become the team that has conceded the most goals to Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia, with a total of 8 goals, making this his 50th match with "The Global" across various domestic competitions since January 2023.
