Berri Apologizes for Not Accepting Eid al-Adha Congratulations

The Speaker of the Parliament, Nabih Berri, announced his apology for not accepting congratulations for Eid al-Adha due to the current situation in Lebanon and the region, as Israel continues its destructive aggression and extermination war against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the southern Lebanese border villages with occupied Palestine, with the latest treacherous crime committed between the towns of Deir Qanoun al-Nahr and Janata.

On this occasion, Berri wished the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God a blessed pilgrimage and accepted efforts, stating: "In the realm of this great ritual, which manifests the meanings of Islamic and humanitarian unity, and embodies the most beautiful values of sacrifice and selflessness, blessed are those who sacrifice their lives on the soil of the first qibla and the third of the holy sites, Al-Aqsa, and the land of the prophets, Palestine... Blessed are the resistors, the martyrs, the steadfast, the patient, and the displaced among our people in the south, the children of the border villages and towns from Ras Naqoura to the heights of Arqab and Mount Hermon..."

Berri concluded by saying: "Yes, the stand is your stand... and the highest sacrifice is your sacrifices... To these and to all Lebanese, and to Muslims in particular, on this blessed occasion, I extend my best wishes and prayers that it returns to Lebanon and to the peoples of the Arab and Islamic nations, united in word and stance, for their mutual interest in progress, prosperity, stability, security, and safety."
