### Exceptional Journey

The ruler of Dubai stated in the introduction to the annual report of "Emirates Airline - 2024": The United Arab Emirates has embarked on an exceptional developmental journey over the past five decades, with its successes resulting from the wise vision of our founding fathers who foresaw the horizons of the future, and their approach based on investing in building human capital to achieve leadership in the field of development, progress, and prosperity. This vision laid the solid foundations for the establishment of leading global companies, forming a fundamental pillar supporting the economy, attracting investment, talent, and innovation.

He added: "The Emirates Group" exemplifies our country's ability to create value, not only for itself but for the world as well. "Emirates Airline" has continued to grow and expand at a high pace after a modest start, becoming a primary hub for air travel services, reaching 277 cities across all continents today, making Dubai one of the most connected cities globally.

Sheikh Mohammed affirmed that "Emirates Airline" and "dnata" have benefitted from the strategic advantages of Dubai to create successful business models capable of overcoming the toughest crises and challenges, while their commitment to excellence in providing significant added value to our country and the communities they serve worldwide continues.

He stressed that despite the group achieving record profits this year, its exceptional successes cannot be limited to its financial performance alone; they extend to reflect the spirit of innovation that characterizes it, as well as a commitment to excellence and a focus on individuals, customers, and the environment. Collectively, these advantages have enabled "Emirates Airline" and "dnata" to build a strong global reputation, gain trust, and establish the foundations for sustainable growth.

### Ambitions

The Prime Minister of the UAE stated in the report's introduction: Our ambitions do not stop at the milestones we have achieved but extend to broader horizons where Dubai continues to build on its successful economic achievements, opening new avenues for growth and enhancing its position as a major player on the global stage. This was included in the ambitious goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and many strategic initiatives, affirming that we are on the right path to make Dubai one of the top three economic cities in the world and to double the emirate's GDP over the next decade, supported by forward-looking policies, laws, and practices, as well as fruitful partnerships between the public and private sectors.

He added: Undoubtedly, "Emirates Group" plays a fundamental role in achieving the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, leveraging its immense capabilities in the aviation industry to expand Dubai's economic corridors, particularly for the rapidly growing new economies in the Global South, which will help double the emirate's foreign trade by 2033.

Sheikh Mohammed concluded the introduction to the report by stating: We look forward to increasing the contributions of "Emirates Group" towards achieving the ambitious goals of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates, while we continue to create prosperity opportunities, enhance quality of life, and build a brighter future for generations to come.
