Dubai is renowned for its strong reputation as a global business hub, thanks to its excellent infrastructure. Additionally, the UAE offers a special virtual work residency visa for a full year, which is renewable, making it easier for professionals to work from there.
There is no need to worry about internet connectivity while working in sunny Dubai; the city boasts over 23,000 Wi-Fi hotspots, with an average internet speed of about 230 Mbps. Moreover, Dubai enjoys a sunny climate that attracts digital nomads from around the world, receiving around 3,500 hours of sunshine annually. A total of 61 locations were ranked based on affordability, weather, internet speed, and other factors to identify the best places for digital nomads in 2024. Lisbon ranked second globally, followed by Madrid in third place, Los Angeles in fourth, and Sydney in fifth.
