The Minister of Justice in the caretaker government, Henry Khoury, held a meeting at the Ministry of Justice to continue implementing the digital transformation plan for the justice sector. The meeting included the First President of the Court of Appeal in Mount Lebanon, Judge Eli Halou, a member of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Habib Mazhar, the Public Prosecutor in Mount Lebanon, Judge Mohammad Farhat, Judge Karl Ayrouni from the State Council, Judges Mohammad Fawaz and Sabine Kazan, along with a team of lawyers: Ramzi Haykal, Nasri Diab, Elias Bazrli, Abdo Ghasoub, Hadeb Dhabyan, Marie Doua, and the head of the Commercial Registry Committee of the Beirut Bar Association, Rami Daher, Shukri Haddad, Charbel Freh, Tala Halawi, and Ali Jaber.

During the meeting, Khoury detailed the plan to activate electronic judicial services, which is expected to officially commence in the courts gradually with the start of the new judicial year in September. This will allow all interested lawyers to benefit from these electronic services via a digital identity that enables each lawyer to create an electronic account in the software system provided by the Ministry of Justice in coordination with the Judges' Mutual Fund. This system will also facilitate electronic payment for all types of fees, including stamps, through their personal electronic accounts.

The attendees agreed on the necessity of completing the preparatory work accompanying the comprehensive automation of the courts according to the designated timetable, which will include practical minutes for the decree on electronic official documents, working mechanisms in the commercial register, proposals for the relevant decrees, and suggestions for laws aimed at activating electronic notifications and protecting personal data.

They also agreed to distribute tasks among judges and volunteer lawyers into different groups, which will also include lawyers: Professor Najib Haj Shahin, Naja Tabet, and Moussa Khoury, to complete all preparatory works according to the agreed-upon timeline.
