A new crisis is unfolding for actress Rania Youssef after a lengthy video titled "The Desire of the Body" spread across the popular video platform "YouTube." An unknown individual promoted this clip as a new film featuring Rania Youssef, whose image appeared prominently in the video. This led to the actress receiving messages from friends informing her of the situation.
In a statement to "Al Arabiya Net," Rania Youssef revealed that many friends contacted her after seeing her picture on the video's cover on YouTube. The channel owner marketed it as a new film titled "The Desire of the Body," which left her puzzled. She expressed her disbelief that someone could make such claims and promote unethical videos using her image.
Seeking Justice
Rania stated that she immediately went to the Cyber Crime Investigation department in Cairo and filed a report regarding the incident. She provided the authorities with the link to the video on YouTube for them to address the matter and locate the channel owner for investigation.
Additionally, the actress filed an official complaint with the Egyptian Actors Syndicate, led by actor Ashraf Zaki, to have the syndicate take on the issue, monitor it, and hold the responsible individual accountable.
Ashraf Zaki Responds
Ashraf Zaki confirmed that the actress had indeed filed an official complaint with the syndicate due to the use of her image on the video's cover. The Actors Syndicate's board of directors is addressing the complaint, and necessary legal actions have been taken, including filing a report against the channel owner. The syndicate's report will accompany the complaint that Rania filed with the Cyber Crime Investigation unit.
