The Internal Security Forces General Directorate - Public Relations Division announced today, Monday, the following: "Information was available to the Dahiyeh Detachment about a group of individuals, including women, promoting drugs in the neighborhoods of Hay el-Sellm and Burj al-Barajneh. A network for drug promotion that includes women among its members was apprehended by the Dahiyeh forces, and a military pistol and narcotic substances were seized.
As a result of investigations and inquiries conducted by the aforementioned detachment, the identities of three members of the network were determined: H.A. (born in 1993, Lebanese), who is wanted under an arrest warrant for drug-related offenses and has a summary judgment for vandalism; F.M. (born in 1993, Lebanese); and N.M. (born in 1982, Lebanese).
On 23-5-2024, after surveillance, their location was identified in Hay el-Sellm, where a force from the detachment was able to arrest them. A military pistol was found on the roof of the house used by the group, and inside their vehicle, 22 packages containing narcotic substances were seized.
The arrested individuals and the seized items were handed over to the relevant authority to take the necessary legal action against them, following the directives of the competent judiciary, and searches are ongoing to apprehend the remaining members of the network."
