Sources revealed to a media outlet the ministers who will continue in the new Egyptian government, which Mustafa Madbouly will restructure at the request of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The sources confirmed that the ministers who will remain are: "Finance, Planning, Transport, Housing, Higher Education, Basic Education, Water Resources, Awqaf (Religious Endowments), Health, and Petroleum."
President El-Sisi assigned Dr. Mustafa Madbouly to form a "new government of qualified individuals with experience and exceptional capabilities, working to achieve a number of goals, the foremost of which is to maintain the determinants of Egyptian national security in light of regional and international challenges, and to prioritize the development of the Egyptian individual, especially in the fields of health and education."
The mandate for the new government also includes "addressing security and stability issues and combating terrorism to enhance what has been accomplished in this regard, developing cultural and national awareness matters, and promoting moderate religious discourse in a way that reinforces the concepts of citizenship and social peace."
Additionally, El-Sisi's mandate regarding the formation of the new government involves continuing the path of economic reform, focusing on attracting local and foreign investments, encouraging private sector growth, and making every effort to curb rising prices and inflation while stabilizing markets, all within a comprehensive framework for improving the state's economic performance across all sectors.
