The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement today, Wednesday: "On 15-1-2024, two unidentified individuals in a silver 'BMW' SUV, one wearing a 'Field' military jacket, robbed a person at gunpoint in the Al-Faida area - Zahle. On 16-4-2024, two unknown individuals in a vehicle with the same specifications robbed two people in the town of Anjar, Beqaa.
Through investigations conducted by the Zahle Judicial Police Station, the suspects were identified as: - K. M. J. (born in 1989, currently studying) - H. A. (born in 2000, Lebanese).
On 6-6-2024, after careful surveillance and monitoring, a force from the station arrested the first suspect in Zahle city, in the aforementioned vehicle. During the investigation, he confessed to carrying out several armed robbery operations while wearing a 'Field' military jacket, in collaboration with the second suspect, who is currently at large, and a search warrant has been issued against him; efforts are ongoing to apprehend him.
A 'Field' jacket and a military pistol were seized from K. M. J.'s home. Based on the specialized judiciary's guidance, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces is distributing the photo of the arrested individual and requests that those who fell victim to his actions come to the mentioned station located at Zahle Courthouse, or contact the number 806523-08 to take the necessary legal measures."
