The Public Relations Division of the Internal Security Forces announced that "around 11:00 PM on 26/06/2024, a woman was involved in a hit-and-run incident on the westbound lane of the Halat highway—opposite the 'Shamsine' ovens, which resulted in her immediate death. The body was subsequently transported to the morgue of Saint Martin Hospital in Jbeil."
It added in a statement: "The deceased woman is approximately in her third decade of life, about 170 cm tall, of average build, with dark skin, black curly hair."
The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces requested the relatives or anyone with information about her to "come to the location of the body and contact the Jounieh Traffic Detachment at the Regional Gendarmerie Unit at the number: 934217-09, to prepare for the body’s retrieval."
