In Response to the Assassination of Ni'mah: Hezbollah Bombards Israeli Bases and Settlements

The exchange of fire between Israel and Hezbollah intensified following the assassination of an Hezbollah field commander by Israel. In response, Hezbollah targeted the command center of the Golan Division 210 at the "Nafah" barracks and the air and missile defense headquarters at the "Kila" barracks with one hundred Katyusha rockets. The resistance also struck the command center of "Brigade 769" at the "Qiryat Shmona" barracks with Fajr missiles.

This came after the Islamic Resistance mourned Muhammad Ni'mah Nasser, known as "Haj Abu Ni'mah," born in 1965 from the town of Haddatha in southern Lebanon, who was killed by an Israeli drone strike on the vehicle he was traveling in near the Italian hospital in the city of Tyre. The resistance also mourned Muhammad Ghassan Khashab, known as "Zulfiqar," born in 1997 from the southern town of Mansouri.

Intense Rocket Fire

Reports indicated that over 50 rockets were launched from Lebanon towards Israel, with significant and successive salvos aimed at the Galilee Finger and the occupied Syrian Golan. Israeli military bases in the Golan, including the "Kila" barracks and "Nafah" base, were subjected to rocket fire from Lebanon, with fires breaking out in the targeted areas.

Fires in the Golan

In this context, the spokesperson for Israeli firefighting services reported fires in the Golan resulting from gunfire from Lebanon, stating that "fire crews are working in the area." He added that "the crews are striving to contain the fires, which have spread over a wide area due to the winds." Israeli media also reported the sound of sirens in the settlements of "Dafna," "Hagoshrim," "Dan," "Sha'ar Yashuv," and "Shenir," as well as in the settlements of "Maskaf Am," "Qiryat Shmona," and "Kfar Gil'ad" in the north.
