Arrest of a Drug Dealer and Seizure of a Large Quantity of Drugs

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: "As part of the ongoing efforts by the Internal Security Forces to combat drug trafficking and dealing in various Lebanese regions, information was received by the Information Branch regarding a person promoting narcotic substances in the Airport Road area on a motorcycle. Following that, the relevant units in the branch began field and investigative procedures to identify the dealer. As a result of the inquiries and investigations, they identified him as H.W. (born in 1990, Lebanese), who has a criminal record for drug-related offenses and arms and ammunition transport. He has a summary judgment for arms and ammunition transport and gunfire incidents.

On June 24, 2024, after surveillance and monitoring operations, one of the branch's patrols was able to arrest him in the Airport Road area while he was committing the crime, using an unregistered motorcycle that was seized. Upon searching him and the motorcycle, the following items were found:

- 10 plastic containers labeled "PURE" containing a white substance, weighing approximately 4.1 grams each.

- 19 plastic containers with a crystalline white substance, weighing approximately 4.1 grams each.

- 26 plastic containers containing cocaine, weighing approximately 4 grams each.

- A capsule with an image of Pablo Escobar labeled "BUZZ" containing a base cocaine substance weighing approximately 4.1 grams.

- 10 nylon bags containing cannabis with a total weight of approximately 97.5 grams.

- 3 plastic containers labeled "0.5 foreign" containing cocaine weighing approximately 4.3 grams each.

- 2 plastic containers labeled "foreign 1" containing base cocaine weighing approximately 4.8 grams each.

- 2 plastic containers labeled "Special 1 Gram Coc" containing cocaine weighing approximately 0.1 grams each.

- 2 plastic containers labeled "VIP NET" containing cocaine weighing approximately 4 grams each.

- A plastic container labeled "VIP BUZZ" containing a base substance weighing approximately 4 grams.

- 5 plastic containers labeled "Buzz 0.5" containing base substance weighing approximately 4.3 grams each.

- 2 plastic containers labeled "G BAZ" containing cocaine weighing approximately 4.8 grams each.

- 19 plastic containers labeled "Net 0.5" containing cocaine weighing approximately 4.3 grams each.

- 9 plastic containers containing cocaine weighing approximately 3.8 grams each.

- 9 plastic containers containing base substance weighing approximately 3.8 grams each.

- A sum of money and a mobile phone.

During the investigation, he confessed to the charges against him regarding the drug promotion using the seized motorcycle, stating that he received the narcotic substances and handed over the money from their sale inside the Shatila camp. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he, along with the seized items, was referred to the relevant authority based on the court's instructions."
