Details on the Attempted Assassination of Trump

The Washington Post revealed intriguing details about the attempted assassination faced by former president and Republican candidate Donald Trump. The American newspaper reported that "the gathering seemed normal, with Trump supporters crowding in anticipation after undergoing thorough security checks, turning the venue into a sea of red hats."

It continued that Trump was about an hour late before making his appearance wearing his red hat and a white open-collared shirt, waving to his supporters amidst loud music and fiery campaign slogans, with media cameras surrounding him. Trump exclaimed, "This is a large, beautiful crowd" and began reading his speech from a teleprompter, but soon grew bored with the written text.

He called Republican Senate candidate Dave McCormick to speak in his place, but it appeared that Dave was not prepared. "Get down," Trump continued speaking, addressing his audience: "You don’t mind if I stop reading directly from the teleprompter; these teleprompters are so boring." He then requested to display a chart of the race toward the White House, saying, "I really like this chart," and continued, "You guys are improving over time."

The newspaper reported: "At that exact moment, a strange sound was heard; Trump touched his ear as if a mosquito had bitten him, then he hunched his shoulders and bent down."

"Get down, get down, get down," shouted Secret Service agents as they rushed toward the incident, surrounding Trump while the present audience screamed, trying to duck for safety. A voice from one of the officers could be heard calling into the Secret Service microphone: "Are we in a better position now?" Another responded, "The shooter has been killed," while a third asked, "Are we in a good position to move?"

The conversation continued this way until security confirmed the area was secure. The officers then wanted to take Trump to the armored vehicle, but he told them as they lifted him, "Let me put on my shoes." One of them replied, "Your head is covered in blood; wait a moment," but he asked them again to give him a chance to wear his shoes. He soon stood up, signaling to the crowd with his fist, indicating that he was okay and resilient.

Then, one Secret Service agent shouted, "We need to move now," and they began to descend from the platform via a small staircase, surrounding Trump with their hands on their weapons, escorting the former president to his armored SUV, leaving a black shoe on the stage of the incident over the red carpet, according to the newspaper.

It was reported that security demanded the crowd to calmly evacuate the area, describing it as a crime scene. Everyone withdrew in shock; some reached out to relatives, while others approached the present media accusing them of exacerbating the polarization against Trump’s camp. One attendee addressed the journalists, saying, "You wanted political violence; here you have it, and I hope you are all happy."
