WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will allow users to quickly reply to messages, including images, videos, and GIFs, without leaving the chat screen, making sharing and interaction easier and more convenient. This will be done via double tapping in the beta version, in preparation for bringing the feature soon to users. The new feature has received rapid feedback, particularly from Instagram users who have been using double tapping recently, and now WhatsApp has begun to implement this feature.
According to SammyFans, Meta is currently testing this feature in the beta version of the WhatsApp app for Android. With this feature, users can add quick reactions to received messages simply by double tapping. Users can quickly respond to comments on images, some videos, or GIFs directly from the display screen.
On the other hand, users will be able to send quick reactions using heart emojis similar to Instagram. If a user chooses to react with a different emoji, they will need to continue tapping to reveal the interaction bar.
