On Friday, the Israeli army continued its airstrikes on various areas in the Gaza Strip, marking the 308th day of the war. In the latest developments, the Israeli army announced that it has begun a military operation in Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) reported that "8 citizens were martyred and dozens were injured early today in airstrikes conducted by Israeli warplanes, which specifically targeted the Nuseirat and Maghazi refugee camps and the town of Jabalia, along with the cities of Khan Younis and Rafah." Health sources indicated that "3 citizens were martyred and others were wounded due to an Israeli airstrike that targeted a home west of the Nuseirat refugee camp. Two citizens were martyred as a result of a similar strike targeting homes in the Maghazi camp." According to Wafa, "local sources reported that the occupation's aircraft bombed a house in Block 4 of the Jabalia camp in northern Gaza, resulting in 3 martyrs and several casualties, while several citizens were martyred and injured as a result of targeting a tent of displaced persons in the Ash-Shawahin area in Abasan Al-Kabira east of Khan Younis." The Israeli army continued to bombard and demolish homes and residential blocks in the Rafah governorate. Palestinian sources noted that Israeli vehicles opened fire in eastern Deir al-Balah in central Gaza. Simultaneously, sirens sounded in Ashkelon and Zikim in southern Israel. The Israeli army announced that air defense systems intercepted a missile launched from the Gaza Strip toward Zikim and Ashkelon. Additionally, the army reported that an officer from the "Nahal" Brigade sustained serious injuries during battles that occurred yesterday in the southern sector. Concurrently, the spokesperson for the World Health Organization highlighted that many field hospitals in Gaza are unable to operate.
