Title: Turkish Ambassador in Iran: Tehran's Response to Haniya's Assassination May Surprise Israel

The Turkish ambassador to Iran stated that Tehran's response to the assassination of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniya "may be far from what Israel expects." Ambassador Hujabi Kralancik made the remarks in an interview with the Iranian news agency "Tasnim" on Sunday, saying, "The greatest response from Iran should be such that it makes this entity kneel; of course, this is not solely Iran's responsibility, but all countries in the region bear responsibility, meaning it is not logical to wait for Iran to take action."

He added, "We cannot tell Iran to be patient and respond harshly. Iran seems determined in this regard, but we cannot predict how it will respond; time will reveal it, and perhaps the response will be one that the enemy does not expect. We do not know if the response will necessarily be military."

Kralancik continued, "Of course, I hope for patience from Iran, as Iran is a country that makes decisions with patience and composure, and it will make the best decision; we, as Turkey, respect its decision."

Responding to Turkey's position regarding the reaction to Haniya's assassination, the Turkish ambassador in Tehran said, "I cannot give a clear answer to this question regarding what Ankara's stance will be because the late Ismail Haniya faced a brutal attack in Iran when he came to attend the inauguration of Iranian President Masoud Bezhkian and was martyred as a result, which is a serious event. The occurrence of this incident in the Iranian capital will lead to further deterioration of the situation."

He continued, "I believe it is logical for Iran to respond; any other country would do the same in similar circumstances. In some cases where countries do not possess enough strength, they may choose not to respond, but Iran is a large and strong country, with significant support."

The Turkish ambassador to Tehran, Hujabi Kralancik, questioned in his interview with "Tasnim" about "the opinion of other countries regarding the assassination of Haniya, who hosted him and expressed their support for Palestine; will they bear responsibility for this?"

Fears are increasing regarding the outbreak of a wide regional conflict, especially as Iran and its allies have threatened to respond to the assassination of former Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniya in Tehran, an operation attributed to Israel, alongside the assassination of prominent Hezbollah leader Fouad Shakir in an Israeli strike in the southern suburbs of Beirut, as the United States enhances its military presence in the region.
