US-Iran Agreement Signing Likely in Geneva: Details Emerging

According to a report by the American news network CNN on Friday, the anticipated memorandum of understanding signing ceremony between the United States and Iran is expected to occur in Geneva.

Bloomberg News also indicated that Geneva is a potential location for the signing of the agreement, possibly as soon as Sunday.

This follows a statement by U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday regarding a "major settlement" that could end the war with Iran, with the possibility of completion in the coming days.

Trump mentioned that he anticipates a signing ceremony soon, "possibly in Europe," attended by his Vice President J.D. Vance. However, Iranian officials have not yet confirmed the existence of any agreement.

Two sources familiar with the talks told CNN that the signing ceremony is scheduled in Switzerland, not far from where Trump and a U.S. delegation will attend the G7 summit next week in France.

One source noted that the signing could mark the start of the "second phase" of diplomatic discussions, where officials aim to implement the memorandum of understanding.

Multiple sources have reported that the memorandum is referred to as the "Islamabad Declaration," acknowledging Pakistan's pivotal role in mediating over the past months.

However, these details remain unconfirmed as an Iranian source suggested that Vienna is also a possible location for the signing.
