The Association of Official School Educators in Lebanon mourned the loss of Esperanza Ghandour Qansouh, the esteemed director of Salman Shamaoun Kindergarten School in Upper Nabatieh, who was killed in a drone strike as she was returning from her educational duties.
In a statement, the association said, "She has always been a symbol of dedication and generosity, leading her educational mission with wisdom and love. She was a role model in her ethics and interactions with everyone, and her commitment to her country and its people was unwavering." The statement further added, "Her martyrdom is a tremendous loss for the school and community, but she will remain alive in our hearts."
Concluding, they stated, "The despicable acts of the enemy, devoid of any humanity, will not deter us from resisting through education and learning to our last breath."
