The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Ismail Baghaei, stated that Tehran has not requested to resume negotiations with the United States, asserting that such a move is "not in our nature."
Baghaei mentioned in a press conference on Monday that "mediaries convey messages from America to us, but we are not currently engaged in talks with them."
Furthermore, he clarified that discussions between Iran and Oman regarding the management of the Strait of Hormuz are "positive."
He added that the situation in the Strait of Hormuz "remains unchanged and it is still closed," according to his statement.
